Will this fit my BMW E Series?

Yes. Unplug it and reconnect the original plug, and the vehicle works exactly as before.

Yes, they're legal to buy and fit. They're designed for off-road use, track days, dyno testing and diagnostics, and must never be used to misrepresent a vehicle's mileage, for example when selling it.
