Speedometer and head-up display
- Polestar 1 and Polestar 2: the speedometer keeps working while the blocker is active.
- Polestar 3, Polestar 4 and Polestar 5: the speedometer does not work while the blocker is active. These modules come with a free HUD (head-up display) unit.
Fitting
The module sits behind the instrument cluster and connects without any cutting or soldering, helped by the supplied long cable. FAQs
Does the speedometer work on the Polestar 4? No. On the Polestar 3, 4 and 5 the speedometer stops working while the blocker is active, which is why these modules include a free HUD unit.
Can the blocker be removed? Yes. Unplug it and the car returns to recording mileage normally.
Are mileage blockers legal? Fitting and using a blocker for testing, diagnostics, track days or off-road use is legal in the UK. It is illegal to mislead a buyer about a vehicle’s mileage, so always declare it when selling.
