EV Mileage Blockers for Track Days and Dyno Testing

Electric cars cover plenty of distance that isn’t everyday driving: rolling-road and dyno sessions, track days, development and software testing, and driving on private land. An EV mileage blocker pauses mileage recording while it’s switched on. Switch it off and the car records as normal. Do mileage blockers work on electric cars?

  • Dyno and rolling-road testing
  • Track days and circuit sessions
  • Development and software testing
  • Off-road and private land

This mileage blocker is only designed for track days, off-road use, tuning or dyno testing. It is legal to own and fit in the UK, but it must never be used to misrepresent a vehicle’s true mileage, including on a lease, finance or salary-sacrifice agreement. Keep a log of unrecorded miles and tell the next owner. Are mileage blockers legal in the UK?

EV Mileage Blocker FAQs

Do mileage blockers work on electric cars?

Yes. Our EV mileage blockers are made for each electric model’s own instrument cluster and CAN-bus or FlexRay network, and plug in behind the dashboard or at the module, the same way as on a petrol or diesel car.

Is an EV mileage blocker legal?

Yes. In the UK it is legal to own and fit a mileage blocker. It is designed for track days, dyno testing, tuning and off-road use. It must never be used to misrepresent a car’s true mileage, including on a lease, finance or salary-sacrifice agreement.

Will it affect the battery, charging or range?

The blocker only affects how distance is recorded; it doesn’t change the battery, charging or motors. On some models the range or average consumption readout can be less accurate in certain modes, and each product page lists what works in each mode.

Can you fit it for me?

Yes. Our mobile fitter comes to your home or workplace anywhere in the UK. Many owners fit it themselves with our guide and video-call help.

My EV isn’t listed. Can you help?

We add new electric models regularly. Call or message our UK team with your car and year and we’ll check what’s available.

Not sure which blocker fits? Our UK team will check your EV before you order.
